Acknowledgments

A notary is authorized to perform three types of notarizations

A notary cannot decide what type of notarial act a document requires. The client must know and tell the notary or the document itself must clearly indicate what’s needed. If the document does not clearly indicate or is personally drafted, a notarial certificate can be provided upon request for an additional fee.
